Applications to Oxbridge

Applying to Oxbridge for an undergraduate degree is widely regarding as one of the most competitive academic experiences that a student is ever likely to experience. There are many myths surrounding applications to both the University of Cambridge and The University of Oxford, which are both widely reputed as some of the best academic institutions on a global level. Incidentally, Colour Learning has been founded by an Oxbridge Graduate.

Many students feel that an Oxbridge Student has to behave in a certain way, speak in a certain manner and think on a superior level. While all of these assumptions add further credibility to these Universities, they are not necessarily true.

The Oxbridge application process is designed to try and select students who not only have an extremely strong academic background but also students who demonstrate high levels of commitment in extra curricular activities, be it in areas of Sport, Drama, and Music or in other areas of social development. A fundamental quality that Oxbridge applicants’ should also demonstrate is their desire to learn and grow as students.

The Oxbridge Application process can not only be extremely lengthy and time consuming, but also stressful and demanding especially considering that many applicants are also in their final year of A-levels and are having to balance their application requirements alongside their preparation for their final examinations. Colour Learning specialize in advising students and guiding them through the Application Process, from their UCAS applications (Personal Statements), Course Choices, all the way through to their College Selection and Interview and Test Preparation. We can also team up our clients to ‘buddies’ at Oxbridge that can help provide them with a perspective of what life is like at the College of their choice and for the subject that they are applying to read.
